I would like to put my thesis in the spotlight
Did you write a master's thesis that contributes to a sustainable future this year? Then compete for the Future Proef Award Ghent University and take a chance on winning a small prize and a direct ticket to the Flemish level! You can register until the 6th of October, 2024.
The three winners of Ghent University will move on to the big finale on the Flemish level in 2025, where they compete against students from other higher education institutions for the Flemish Future Proef Award. The winner of this award receives no less than 3.000 euros and a lot of public attention!
Not in the mood to join a competition? Don't worry. There are other projects you can partake in within the Future Proef Project.
I would like to do research on a sustainable topic
In a number of programs, it is possible to write a bachelor- or master thesis on sustainable topics. Have a look at the possibilities within your program.
Some research questions come about in the 'Stadsacademie', a place where Ghent policymakers and UGent-teachers reflect together about social and ecological challenges facing Ghent University and Ghent City. These challenges are translated into projects, bachelor's - and master's theses. A concrete example is the ‘Living Lab campus Sterre’where the campus itself serves as an experimental space for student research on issues like circular building, biodiversity, use of space, and energy.
